Director Jon Powell recalls seeing his first Betty Blackmore show back in 1974 as a nipper when Theatre Lighting Dimmers were the size of large wardrobes, with linking bars and fly wheels to operate them. This was the nucleus and starting point of many theatre productions over the years. |

A lot of popular music is fixed in the time and place of its original performance and can lose its appeal after a few years but the classic tunes of the original Kings of Swing - Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Nat King Cole will never fade and represent a rare vintage indeed.
Absolute Swing is a ‘tribute’ show with a difference. Neil, Nik and John sing their hearts out - but make no conscious effort to mimic physical or musical mannerisms of the kings to whom they’re paying homage.
